Message from the President

Established in 1954, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Bangkok (JCC) is among the largest Japanese chambers of commerce abroad, boasting 1,656 member companies (as of April 1, 2024).

We devoted ourselves to contribute toward development between Thailand and Japan through economic activities including trade, investment, as well as social activities, such as cultural exchanges and educational supports.

This year, the JCC will commemorate its 70th anniversary. Our long-lasting achievements in this country can be attributed to the support we have received from all parties, including Thai political and business circles, individuals and our member companies.

In the cerebrating year, we want to express our gratitude to Thai nationals and our member companies and are celebrating our 70th happy anniversary through implementing a memorial event, publication, and social contribution under the slogan of ‘70 Years Together, Connecting to the Future’.

We will also continue to address our key activities, such as enhancing the business environment for Japanese companies in Thailand. Given the persistently sluggish exports and stagnant domestic demand, the Thai government has introduced a series of economic stimulus measures.

Under the uncertain economic circumstances, we will cooperate working with Thai organizations showing our capabilities to realize being the continuous and reliable partner for Thailand, with ensuring our business stability and mutual development.

Our mission is to be the spokesperson for our member companies to deliver their requests to the Thai government and provide those with useful resources of captivating topics including labour, tax issues, human resources development and carbon neutrality issues etc.

Besides, we are dedicated to promoting and continuing the activities which are attractive to member companies. We will continuously offer beneficial information and research, and occasions of exchange which appeal to member companies to join.

Especially, we know our networking events attract JCC members, which we will further focus on.

We will always keep in mind that JCC’s strength is stemming from our members’ opinions and their participation in the JCC activities. While having close communication with our members, we hope for our 70th anniversary to be a successful year and will work on various activities to meet members’ expectations and advance JCC as the world-leading Japanese chamber of commerce.
