2026 New Year Economic Panel Discussion Held

On February 26th, the 2026 New Year’s Economic Panel Discussion was held. In the first half, keynote speeches were delivered by Mr. OKUBO Bunsei, Chairman of the Financial, Insurance and Securities Division (Bank of Ayudhya (PCL.), Mr. ABE Ichiro, Chairman of the Economic Research Group (JETRO Bangkok), Mr. YAMASHITA Noriaki, Chairman of Automobile Division (Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd.) and Mr. KUBO Kenichiro, Chairman of Electrics and Electronics Division (Canon Hi-Tech (Thailand) Co., Ltd.). In addition, an industry report was presented by Mr. SAKAKURA Ichiro, Chairman of the Agricultural & Marine Produce Division (Ajinomoto co., (Thailand) Ltd.).


In the second half, participants took part in a real-time survey on economic prospects and changes in the business environment for 2026. Based on the survey results, a panel discussion was conducted with five panelists.
