Automobile Division General Meeting for the 1st Half of Fiscal Year 2026 Held

On August 27th, the Automobile Division, chaired by Mr. YAMASHITA Noriaki, President of Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., held its General Meeting for the 1st half of fiscal year 2026 and reported on the subcommittee’s activities and the automotive industry’s current situation.


During the meeting, reports were presented on market trends for four-wheeled and two-wheeled vehicles, as well as the activities of the Technology and Production Subcommittee and the Parts Subcommittee.


The four-wheeled vehicle market recorded total sales of approximately 347,000 units in the 1st half of fiscal year 2026, representing 115% of the same period last year. The market continued to expand, particularly in the electric vehicle segment, supported by government measures and other factors.


Following a report by Ms. Yupin Boonsirichan, President of the Thai Automotive Industry Association (TAIA), a question-and-answer session was also held, providing an opportunity for participants to exchange views on the current automotive market and related issues.
